200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training
Your journey begins October 2023!
Registration is Now Open!
Areas of Study
Our program is a modular-based training program which runs for 6 months over weekend immersions with breaks in between so you have time to process the material.
This module will help you understand what it means to live your yoga. Yoga is more than a physical practice; it encompasses our body as a whole, and it is a way of living and being. We will look at some historic yoga texts and how they can influence and benefit our day-to-day lives.
Meditation + Pranayama
This module will help you understand several meditation and pranayama (yogic breathing) techniques. Emphasis will be placed on learning what meditation and pranayama are, their purpose and the effects these techniques have on our physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
Anatomy + Physiology
This module will help you understand the anatomy of the human body as it relates to teaching yoga. You will learn about the systems of the human body (muscular, skeletal, and nervous) so that you can intelligently teach and sequence a yoga class.
Yoga is a healing practice, and we believe yoga is for everyone. You will learn key asanas (yoga postures) and how to create classes that are inspiring and engaging.
Teaching Sustainable Yoga + Wellness
This module will help you learn to speak and guide students clearly and authentically.
We’ll guide you through the process of learning this new language from an inclusive perspective and cover not only how to plan and structure a class, but the business of yoga and ethics of teaching as well.
Note: This training includes independent study that will need to be completed outside the class hours.
